Tag: Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty

I've been seeing a lot of these videos around floating on YouTube and I thought it'd be fun to do a post about it since I don't make any videos myself. (Maybe someday?)

Here are the questions:

1 - Greed: What is your most inexpensive beauty product? What is your most expensive beauty product?

I have a lot of inexpensive make-up because I'm a huge bargain buyer. I suppose if I had to choose all the products that are full price and cheapest I'd say a majority of my ELF products such as the Hypershine Glosses and such. For my most expensive, it'd have to be my MAC Pro Longwear Foundation that I got for $30+. I don't buy high end almost ever besides when I 100% sold on it and I've done my research!

2 - Wrath: what beauty product do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been hardest to get?

One thing I have the HUGEST love/hate relationship with is almost all blushes. I freaking love blush, it looks gorgeous on absolutely everyone but one thing I can't stand is how it doesn't show up on me unless I have foundation on! Maybe it's the fact that my skin is super oily but like no matter what, it just doesn't stick. The only blushes that DO show up on me are those vibrant "gurl what da hell you wearing" blushes and that's just not a good look for everyday wear. The products that I have had the hardest time getting are just foundations in general. There's always an issue with it not being yellow enough, it being too light, too dark, can I afford it, etc. I finally found a great foundation with MAC's Pro Longwear but I am still trying to find a great affordable foundation that takes good pictures (no white cast) and is has the perfect color. Pretty much nonexistent.

3 - Gluttony: What are your most delicious beauty products?

I cannot rave enough about how much I LOVE the smell of the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipsticks. They smell like candy and ugh, just so good. Also, I love the smell of the Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in Cherry Me.

4 - Sloth: What beauty product do you neglect due to laziness?

I'd have to definitely say mascara. I have decently long lashes but they're stick straight. For me to have noticeable lashes I'd have to first CURL and then APPLY. Just too lazy. Plus, it's a pain to take off.

5 - Pride: What beauty product gives you the most self-confidence?

It would have to be black eyeliner. I can make my dull face instantly look so much better with just a bit of liner applied on my upper lash line and then smudged out on my lower lash line for an instant smokey look. Eyeliner is seriously the only thing I wear every single day. The one I reach for the most is my jane. Mineral Gel Liner.

6 - Lust: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

The attributes that attract me the most is a guys voice, his playful side, and modesty. I'm really particular about a guy's voice; I don't like them sounding nasally or high pitch or anything like that. I really couldn't describe to you the perfect voice, but yeah, haha. Also, the guy has to have a good sense of humor and has to want to cuddle and not just... you know. As for modesty, I think that is such a huge thing. I am definitely not into guys with huge egos or are name droppers. Just definitely not.

7 - Envy: What product do you most like to recieve as a gift?

Well, I'd have to say I have two things on the top of my wishlist. One being the MUFE HD Foundation, something that I've been wanting FOREVER. And also the Urban Decay Naked Palette which I'm sure everyone else has but I sure don't...

How Much Does Your Face Cost? Tag

I was chosen by the sweet girl, Cerys, from The Fashion Palace to do the How Much Does Your Face Cost? Tag! The idea of the tag is to see how much you spend on your everyday make up. Unfortunately if I just did my everyday make up it would total like $2, haha. So instead I'll be doing my full face make-up when I DO actually do use full face make-up. I'll be doing how much it would cost if everything were full price and also how much it actually all cost me. Enjoy!

Yay to my camera for pretty much having an automatic Photoshop feature! Hahahaha. Too bad my face looks flat.

Haha. Ugh, still rather expensive, huh? I don't mind though. The products that I have spent a lot of money on are definitely definitely worth it and they have lasted me a very long time.

Beauty Blogger Tag

Yay! Tagged again! Today I'll be responding to a tag from Hannah from Life Sparkles that I thought would be lots of fun to answer. Sooo, here I go!

1. What are your favorite type of blog-posts to write?

I love making lipstick posts with lip swatches! I always get so excited because in order to get a successful lip swatch I always have to wait for the perfect natural lighting. When I do, it's like HALLELUJAH!

2. What are your favorite blogs to read?

I love love love reading blogs about nail polish & design, make-up reviews, and hauls!

3. How did you pick your blog name?

It was a nickname from when I was in high school, actually.

4. Which beauty blogger is your inspiration?

There is a woman from Croatia who created this blog Anatomy of Beauty. She takes the most incredible pictures and she's really so naturally talented at doing make up and just a lot of other things!

5. Name one tip you've learned through another beauty blogger?

I'm not sure as far as tips but I can say I've easily learned a lot from everyone!

6. What made you make a blog?

I was an avid reader of blogs myself, before I made mine, and one day I was just thinking to myself "why not?" and thus I created my own. I loved the idea of making friends from around the world and have readers who truly appreciate my input!

7. Do you have a favorite blog post of yours?

Hum... I can't say I do! I put a lot of love into each and every one of my posts.

8. Name one pro and one con of being a beauty blogger?

One con to being a blogger is that sometimes it can seem like a competition in my eyes. I see some bloggers who put absolutely no care or feeling into their posts and are just posting to fill up space and whadayaknow, they have a gillion more readers than I do while I put so much effort into my posts.

A pro is meeting so many people from around the world and I'm so thankful I've met them!

9. What advice would you give someone dealing with hate?

Hannah's response to this question could not have been said any better myself!

"I don't think there's as much hate on Blogger as there is on YouTube, but my best advice would be not to worry about it! Not everyone is going to like everything you do and that's okay, if they have nothing better to do than write a nasty comment, then they are not worth your time!"

10. How long does it take you to write a blog post?

Depending on the post, add in the time to take the pictures, do swatches, edit pictures, make a wholehearted review, it takes maybe 2-3 hours? Haha, yeah, a while, huh!?

11. What other blogs apart from beauty do you like to read?

I am a huge geek so I love to read about games (walkthroughs, the storylines, cheats, etc.)!

12. Who have you made friends with through blogging?

I have made friends and was given the chance to speak with so many people including the girl who tagged me in this post named Hannah! There's also a few other people who have been wonderful and have supported me while I blog such as Cerys Chloe, and many others!

13. How do you get ideas for a blog post?

Well, on slow days I sit myself down and I think of what I would like to hear product reviews about and what I would like to read about. I list them down and slowly but surely, I make posts about them!
