June/July: Song I've Been Loving - Jack's Mannequin - "Dark Blue"

It's bordering August and of course I'd be doing both June AND July's "Song I've Been Loving" because I'm a slacker... To make it short and simple, here's a song that will never lose it's beauty.

Unfortunately, I guess, Blogger doesn't allow music videos to play here anymore? Something along the lines of that. But if you're really interested, you're welcome to follow the link.

May: Song I've Been Loving - Maroon 5 - "Sunday Morning"

My goodness, this month has been a whirlwind of absolutely everything. I almost forgot to do this! Today, I bring you a song that I will always love brought to you by Maroon 5. I'm not so much a fan of Adam Levine himself but I have to admire his music.

It's not Sunday, nor is it the morning, but doesn't mean you can't enjoy such a beautiful song like this!

April: Song I've Been Loving - Bright Eyes - "First Day of My Life"

Life can leave you with moments where you felt like you were just slapped in the face, eyes tearing up, knot in your throat. It can leave you feeling empty, feeling like there's no hope left. Life can be an awful thing but also a wonderful miracle. Funny how you can easily replace the word "life" with "love."

I get those two words confused constantly. What's that 4 letter word that ends with an "L" and ends with an "E"? You'll automatically think of the most important thing to you at the moment... well unless it's "lime" then I don't know what's going on there. But for a while what I thought about was "love" and because of that I forgot what "life" meant to me. Feeling relief, not fearing a tear filled fight some time within the day, reading a book without any inevitable anxiety, having a beer with a friend and laughing about nothing that really mattered, knowing you'll be coming home to a quiet room with a warm bed and nothing but the hope of some excellent sleep to bring you to the next day.

Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Because I was so blinded by love. I loved love because it brought me so high up with happiness where I felt like I was basking in clouds and beautiful sunlight. But then there goes the clouds, they're getting dark and it's starting to rain. What happened to the sunlight? A wise man once said that what comes up must come down. And it did. Over and over again, boy, did I fall. And fell, and fell. I lost my soul for a little, lost who I was. Lost faith in myself and my future and if it was worth even having one. Thanks love, you really got me there! Jokes on me right?

--------Hah. Before, I get sarcastic and spiteful I'll just say this: you are most important and you will always be most important. If you believe otherwise and you ignore the fact that the bad is really starting to outweigh the good, then you definitely have a problem brewing. It's hard to let go, but a very wise woman once said "if you love something, let it go. If it does not come back, it was never yours to begin with." Well I let go.

Today I bring you a very special song to me by Bright Eyes. It's sweet, slow paced, acoustic.

With love, Alma. Enjoy.

Tiny Update + Song I've Been Loving: The Wanted - "Glad You Came"

My god, I feel like it's been so long since I've done a post. I apologize greatly, I've been doing some traveling, everything's been so hectic, so on and so forth. School is starting on the 16th and I am freaking out badly. Nice to see you 6 months of nonstop stress! NOT. Hopefully I'll be able to get a a post soon before I start losing some followers. No blogger wants that. :(

Anywho, this is just a random song I heard on the radio that I just adore. It's super catchy, super poppy.

Miss you guys a lot, expect a big Nail Polish haul soon!

Febuary: Song I've Been Loving - Lucas Prata - "And She Said"

Hahaha, so tonight I came across this song randomly and I started laughing hysterically. This song is one of the best throwbacks I have ever come across. I'm not sure if it was only in America that this became famous but those who are around my age and a bit older should recognize this and should at least make you smile. The song came out in 2004, sooo, I was... 11. Oh wow! Haha. Anyway, enjoy!

The music video is absolutely terrible but just don't watch it and it won't take away the splendor of this song.

"and she said yeah yeah yeah (yeah yeah yeah) oooh oh (oooh oh) Yeah yeah yeah (yeah yeah yeah) wa oh (wa oh)."

HAHAHAHA.

January: Song I've Been Loving - The Fray - "How to Save a Life" & Another Cover by Alex Goot + Kurt Schneider

2011 was an intense year, I have to say, and I'm so glad for it to finally be over. 2012 is now upon us and I want to make something of it. My New Years resolution is to appreciate life. Sounds corny, cliche, but it isn't in my eyes. I have met people who were not so favorable, and I've seen my fair share of unfortunate events and I am just so thankful that I am who I am and that I'm alive and living life. The song I chose for this month has been on repeat for the past 2 days and still playing! Haha. Enjoy, you guys. Never forget to appreciate the loved ones in your life.

Here is a great cover as well! I really cannot get enough of this Goot boy. Hahaha.

To get a little personal, here is someone who has saved my life and makes me love life every single night and day.

Since him and I are currently doing long distance, we fall asleep together on Skype every single night. He told me before he fell asleep "make sure that I'm safe when I go to sleep, okay, baba?" Of course I told him I would and I think I've done my job. He's snoring soundly, I'm getting sleepy. It's 4 in the morning. It's time for "seep seep" as we say.

Good night everyone, hope you all are sleeping well, or have slept well.

December: Song I've Been Loving - The Beatles - "Let It Be" & A Cover by Alex Goot + AJ Rafael

Hey guys! Here is my December "Song I've Been Loving" and I hope you love it too! I decided to change the song of the month because I realized and remembered how much this has actually helped me and I think it deserved the month of December. This is a song that will never get old. Timeless and touches the heart. One of my top 5 favorite songs about letting things happen as they go. Even if you think everything is falling around you, someone will always be there for you. That's how I interpret it. You may as you like. This song gives me hope. Faith.

During these really hard times for me, it's nice to have people who are there to support me and I want to say thank you to those who are. I appreciate each and every one of you.

Also. Here is a cover that I actually really do enjoy. Take a listen if you can!

There will be an answer, let it be

November : Song I've Been Loving - Paramore "Monster"

So I think I'll start doing songs I've been loving and hopefully you'll love them too! I'll do one each month!

For some reason since seeing it in a McDonald's in Times Square. I've loved it even though it's not really not my type of music. It's on repeat while I'm showering! Hope you guys like it!
