DIY: Palette Using a CD Case

So I was at the art supply store today and I thought I'd be a little creative. With $5 at hand and knowing I had a bunch of depotted eyeshadows I figured why not have some fun! Sooo with an empty CD case, some thread, pretty paper I bought as well as some stickers, I made something that I'm extremely happy about!

I used two types of paper on the front cover slip. One was a floral designed plastic film and the other was the same thick paper I used on the inside which you will see later. To keep them together and in place, I wasn't sure what to do. The two pieces together were still not thick enough and so together they kept moving around and sliding out every time I opened it. So I decided to explore the house a little for some glue and I found some of my mother's thread and a needle instead. I got to work and ended up sewing them together. The thread helped with it not sliding out because it latched onto the sides really well. To decorate it a little more I added one stanza of lyrics to one of my favorite songs ever.

And when the
brokenhearted
people living
in the world
agree there will
be an answer
{let it be}

Inside I put 12 depotted eyeshadows from my Flirt LE 40 Eyeshadow Palette (if you have seen it, you'll know why I depotted it.) I only put those in to show what it could look like if you did this yourself.

I have two 15-Pan Empty Palettes (they can hold MAC eyeshadows too. All eyeshadows that are 26mm) on the way that I bought off of eBay so I'll probably be using those instead for these eyeshadows. I'll probably be placing my ELF Lip Encyclopedia Pans inside instead.

Hope you enjoyed my little arts & crafts project! I had so much fun making it and if you decide to do the same then I hope you too!
