Big Lots Beauty Haul - Sephora by OPI

Hey everyone, long time no talk! If you don't follow Nouveau Cheap (she is incredible with beauty discounts/reviews/you name it), she recently updated about Big Lots selling SOPI polishes for a whopping $1.80 each! Being that they retailed for $9.50 before they were discontinued, this is a preeettttyyy good deal.

I had the luckiest Big Lots shopping day of my life. I managed to find the LAST of the Sephora by OPI Tinsel Town Set as well as the LAST It's Real 18K Gold Top Coat!

Sephora by OPI Tinsel Town Holiday Set (Retail: $50.00) Price: $12.00
Sephora by OPI It's Real 18K Gold Top Coat (Retail: $30.00) Price: $1.80
Sephora by OPI in Teal We Meet Again, Neutral Beauty, What Aura Gonna Wear?, Is She for Reel? (Retail: $9.50 each) Price: $1.80 each
Revlon Diamond Lust Eye Shadow in Night Sky (Retail: $4.99) Price: $1.20

Total Retail: $122.99
What I Paid: $25.99

Funny enough, my Big Lots is not normally the best stocked one, so having all this is just amazing. I can't imagine what the ones that ARE well stocked must be filled with! If you're interested in this, go head to your nearest Big Lots pronto!

PS: I will soon be opening a blog sale for anyone who's interested! It'll be containing a ton of nail polishes, make up brushes, etc.!

PSS: Expect an Influenster review soon!

Buffalo, NY Shopping Haul

I'm trying not to make hauls into a habit but I am just so excited to show you some of the sales going on! Especially if you are from the Buffalo area (which I'm not, I'm just visiting my dad for the week)! The stores I went to, I honestly can't remember some of them, but I can remember all the prices! Haha. I went to Target, CWPrice, Dollar Tree, Big Lots, Wet Seal, Marshalls, and 2 beauty supply stores at the Galleria Mall.

Target:
  • ELF Small Stipple Brush - $3.00 - Been looking for this for ages since I saw it at K-Mart but they were out of stock! I really didn't want to have to order from their website and it's like it was a sign from God saying, "wait, Alma, it is not time yet."
  • Sinful Colors Endless Blue - $1.99 - This polish actually just came onto my wish list recently, and now it's coming right off! This polish is so vivid and gorgeous.
CWPrice:
This is a discount clothing store that I haven't seen anywhere else besides in Buffalo. Today was the first time I went inside and I wish I did sooner!
  • Black & White Striped Bra - $2.00 - A gorgeous bra on sale for only $2!?! Such great sales.
  • Black Tassel Flats - $9.99 - All of the shoes there were average around $12.99 and as low as $7.99!
Dollar Tree:
  • Sinful Colors Cabana, Cream Pink, Paradise- $1.00 each - I found out via Nouveau Cheap that there was Sinful Colors polishes so I had to check one of them here and low and behold, there they were! The Dollar Tree back at my home town didn't have any which was a bummer.
  • Almay Nail Polish Duo - $1.00 - One of the polishes doesn't have a name and the other one is called "Stone". They're very vintage which I thought was pretty cool and they're gorgeous colors.
Wet Seal:
The Wet Seal I went to was having a clearance promotion where if you bought one item, the next clearance item was 1 cent!
  • Royal Blue Flats - $10.99 - These are gorgeous with gold studs along the front and heel and they were the last pair, so I can't say you'd be able to find them. Sorry! =[
  • Dark Blue Tank Top - $0.01 - This was the 2nd item I got for a penny, while the clearance price was $4.99.
Big Lots:
  • Sally Hansen Happy Manicures with Gem Crush 4 Pc. Mini Polish Set - $3.00 - I was so happy to find this because I love so many of the Gem Crush polishes, but I really just wasn't willing to spend the full price for the full sized bottles. I just don't wear glitter polishes enough!
Marshalls:
  • Sephora by OPI I Only Shop Vintage - $3.00 - This was on sale for $3.00 instead of $3.99. Heh, I would have bought this for the full price!
Various Beauty Supplies:
  • Zoya Angel, Crystal - $2.99 each - In one of the stores there was a gigantic basket full of Zoya polishes for $2.99 each, including Zoya Maisie and so many more. I wish I picked up more but I just have so many polishes. Ugh.
  • China Glaze Ride The Waves - $3.99 - This was in a clearance bin and I love me blue polish!
  • Color Club Cosmic Fate - $6.99 - This was the cheapest price I have been able to find for this polish! Word of advice, search around before you get over excited. I found this polish for $8.50 in 2 stores, and then was able to find this for $1.50 less!
And that is my haul! Just because you may not live in the Buffalo area doesn't mean the sales I came across aren't applicable in stores by you! Happy shopping!

Artsy As Hell Polish Haul

A HAUL! I haven't done a haul in ages, I feel like. Which is pretty much true. I buy so much to the point where I can't even keep track. But I've finally been able to settle down for the first time in a while and take pictures and everything. Chyea!

The places I picked these polishes up at were Walgreens and a local beauty supply in Peekskill, NY that I had never been to before called Urban Beauty Supply. I was so nervous because I have a bit of anxiety when it comes to going in stores I've never been before. A little weird, I know, but oh well. Here are a few pictures that I made SUPER ARTSY, just cuz.

I was FINALLY able to find these babies around my area. I literally have gone to so many drugstores on multiple occasions to no avail, UNTIL TODAY!!! Thank you Walgreens!

Milani Texture Cream - Tainted in Red ($3.99)
Milani Texture Cream - Shady Gray ($3.99)
Milani Texture Cream - Aqua Splash ($3.99)

These and the polishes to follow I got from the beauty supply. I got one polish cheaper because the guy who rang me up was nice, kinda. You probably can't tell from the picture but I picked up 2 pastel blue polishes... I don't know why. I've been aching to get Zoya Blu but if I can find a cheaper alternative, why not! Also, blue is my boyfriend's favorite color, so I thought maybe he'd like these.

NK Nail Enamel - Pastel Light Blue ($0.99)
Kleancolor - Holo Blue ($1.99)
Kleancolor - Pastel Blue ($0.99)

This last picture is kinda crummy but it's just a haul right? But yay Ruby Kisses! I've been wanting some of this brands polishes for ages and I thought I was going to have to order online which I hate! (I'm too impatient, haha.)

Ruby Kisses - Teal Envy ($0.99)
Ruby Kisses - Yellowed Out ($0.99)
Ruby Kisses - Tropical Blend ($0.99)

Barielle Polish Sets at TJ Maxx - Barielle Shades (Bottle Pictures)

A few weeks ago and just last week I picked up 2 sets of Barielle 5-polish sets for only $9.99 each! I thought that was a brilliant deal and I encourage you to check yours to see if they're carrying any! There were (as far as I saw) 4 different sets. One was a set of soft creme colors, one was pretty much the same thing but with shimmery versions, there was a set that had a bunch of vibrant colors (I got one of these sets), and the one I picked up last week which held silver themed ones.

Today I'm going to show you pictures of the beautiful polishes in their bottles. Excuse my nasty nails!

The polishes included are Decadence, U-Concrete-Me, Slate of Affairs, Gold Digger, and Passion Pirouette in 13.3 mL/0.45 fl. oz. bottles.

Now for the next set!

This set includes Coalest Day of the Year, Platinum Ring, Out-Grey-Geous, Starry Sky,  and Sterling Silver.

What do you guys think?? A steal, right? I am so in love with all of these shades. So far I've worn U-Concrete-Me and I've also used Gold Digger as a stamping polish which you can see here. They're a little thick but nothing that anyone can't handle.

Have any of you seen these at your local TJ Maxx? Which shades do you like?

Mini Polish Haul + Good Beadhead? + The Weather

Today I had to do a couple errands, finally pick up some things, yada yada... and I stopped by K-Mart because I heard there was a new line of nail polishes from Wet N' Wild! These polishes are supposed to have a larger pro sized brush and oh my god, they definitely are larger. I love love love larger brushes personally, though some don't. I used to think the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Polish brushes were large but the ones in these polishes are even larger! Maybe 1.5mm-2mm larger. Ah, love.

I picked up two polishes from the new WnW Megalast line so I could do a review later on. The colored I bought were 213C On a Trip which is a gorgeous periwinkle and 206C Undercover which is a dusty medium rose color that I absolutely adore. Both have creme finishes.

I also picked up a Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polish that was on sale for $3.50 in Fedora. This polish is a light taupe color with pale gold sparkle. There's a dollar store next to K-Mart so I always pick up a polish from there when I finally get my butt up and out of the house. The polish I picked up was by b.s.n. in Devil Sparks. This is a black jelly polish with magenta hexes and micro glitters. Ugh, these are notorious for smelling so extremely bad but they're just such gorgeous colors for only a buck. It's worth it!

I am one of the lucky few who wakes up with great hair but unfortunately whose hair gets worse over time. Every night I fall asleep with my hair wet after a shower and I wake up to great voluminous hair with perfectly tousled locks. Okay, okay, I know I'm sounding obnoxious but it's true! Sadly throughout the day, since my hair is so thick, it starts weighing itself down and becomes flatter and just ew. Excuse my face.

It's February and just look outside! It's absolutely stunning and sunny and it feels almost 70 degrees outside. There's no breeze whatsoever. I was driving around today blasting Britney Spears with my windows open and I just felt so amazing. Sigh. But it makes me wonder... February in New York is supposed to be the coldest month of the year but this is the nicest we've had in such a long time. Global warming? I onno.

Hope you enjoyed my post! Haha, see ya later guys.

Nail Polish & Simple Pleasures in Life Haul

So I spent a day with my little sister and I kind of went on a tiny nail polish shopping spree, something that I've been doing a lot lately... I also got a couple things that have just made it a lot easier to be happy as of lately, a lot more tranquil and a lot of other stuff. You'll see in a bit!

Here are the nail polishes I bought today!
- Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in 840 Ice Queen for $1.99 - Silver and blue glitter polish.
- L.A. Colors Art Deco in Teal Glitter for $1 - Teal glitter art polish.
- Revlon Nail Enamel in 571 Posh for $2.79 (I had a $3 off coupon) - True green polish.
- Wet N' Wild Wild Shine Nail Color in 435G Sparked for $0.99 - Pink glitter polish.
- Funky Fingers Nail Polish in Down to Earth (light gold), Blitzen (Green glitter), and Elephunk (light gray with silver sparkles) for 3 for $5.
- NYC Long Wearing Nail Enamel in 112 Times Square for $.025 (on sale for 75% off) - Tangerine color. (In other photo!)

Lately things have been getting better after a VERY long time of being difficult. I thought I'd increase the positive energy going on by indulging my self a little. I bought a 91 pc. incense set that included a holder and 90 sticks for $4.00 from Wal-Mart. They smell WONDERFUL!!!! Also, I bought myself to Dove Chocolate Bars since they were BOGO free! One in White & Milk Chocolate Swirl (which I ate within minutes... so... good...) and one in milk chocolate. I also bought a couple make-up items which were the ELF 4 Pan Empty Compact, a Rimmel Lasting Finish blush in Pink Sorbet, and a Maybelline Liquid Eyes Liquid Eyeshadow in Long Way Cabernet. I am very happy with myself today and I am just radiating great vibes right now!

When was the last time you endulged yourself!? Treat yourself, enjoy life!

**Expect a review on the new Revlon Nail Polish in Posh soon!

Small Charlotte Russe Haul

The other day I finally went to Charlotte Russe for the first time in ages, not expecting to find anything, which usually happens. I saw that they were having a huge sale on shoes and then I spotted them. These glorious boots with the bright red shoe laces! A woman was fawning over them and I asked if she liked these. She said she has been trying to find these everywhere but she just hasn't been able to find her size and that she has gone to several malls to find these, this Charlotte Russe being another fluke. I looked at her curiously and asked if I could see them. She shuffled to the side a little and let me see them. Size 6. My size! I said "oh hey! These are my size. Thank god I have small feet!" not actually intending on buying these, assuming she was. I looked at her and smiled politely, jokingly, definitely not a mocking smile, I promise you. She stared at me, did a little fake chuckle, stuck up her nose and walked off. I figured at this point that these were mine for the taking and well, that's what I did! I just couldn't help myself! It was the last pair!

To make this situation even better when I thought they were going to be $20 on sale, they ended up ringing to $15. I was ecstatic! Of course I showed complete composure at the register. Eheheh.

On a less dramatic note, they had brush sets that originally sold for $12.50 but were on sale for $5. I thought they were so extremely cute with their bright pink bristles! They're actually pretty decent quality too. Win!

Hope you enjoyed my silly rant about a 2 piece haul! Until next time! Adios!

Urban Decay Haul + Testing Out the New Camera!

My dad got me an early Christmas present on Black Friday and it was a camera! Peace little old camera! Also, my mother decided to indulge me and my little sister and we got to order off the Urban Decay website! Of course we only wanted to get the stuff on sale because we're too stingy to buy full priced things. So... here's my haul! VERY PICTURE HEAVY.

Urban Decay Vegan Palette $13 (Retails for $34)
Urban Decay Loose Pigment in Protest $1 (Retails for $20)

Urban Decay Cream Shadow in Asphalt $2 (Retails for $17)
Santa Tanita Body Bronzer $2 (Retails for $28)
Bonus Mini Jilted Lipstick (Free Sample)
So that's it! I know, I usually put more detail into my hauls but I really am just so excited about everything I've gotten. I need to work with my camera a little more because as you can see from the pictures, they indeed are rather mediocre. Anyway, hope you all enjoyed my haul!

My First E.L.F. Order! [Haul + First Impressions] 2011

Sooo I'm usually happy with just going to Target or K-Mart for my ELF fix but I really just couldn't help myself this time! Also. My best friend/cousin Dan bought me a $15 gift certificate (he's the best!) so I ended up just spending a total of $5 on everything. I mostly just ended up getting things from the Essential Line as well as 1 thing that I didn't know existed until the day of my order. I'm super happy with my purchase!

Icky carpet color...

List of items I bought:
  • Essential Natural Radiance Blusher in Coy
  • Essential Natural Radiance Blusher in Flushed
  • Essential Natural Radiance Blusher in Shy
  • Professional Eye Crease Brush
  • Professional Eye Blending Brush
  • Smudge Brush
  • Professional Smudge Eye Sponge
  • Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Strawberry
  • Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Nude Pink
  • Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Perfect Pink
  • Hypershine Lipgloss in Bare
  • Hypershine Lipgloss in Mauve
  • Hypershine Lipgloss in Berry Cherry
  • Essential Lipstick in Nostalgic
  • Mineral Eyeshadow Primer in Blush
  • Mineral Eyelid Primer in Golden
  • Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black
  • Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Teal
First Impressions

Eye Crease Brush - I didn't expect this brush to be so small. It's about the size of a regular pencil. The bristles are a little scratchy and it's shedding a little. I know I'll be able to use this at some point. It's pretty dense.

Smudge Eye Sponge - This is sooooooo tiny! But I think this is my favorite oddly. Even though it's a bit of firm black sponge on a fancy stick I know I'll get use out of this because I love smokey eye looks.

Blending Eye Brush - This is pretty soft. Not as soft as my $1 Eyeshadow brush from ELF. It is super fluffy and it'll be a good blending brush. It's shedding a little right now.

Smudge Brush - I thought this brush would be a lot firmer and stubbier. It's soft but it pretty much looks exactly like my $1 brush. Maybe a TINY bit shorter. It's not very dense. It'll be good for eyeshadow I guess.

Luscious Liquid Lipsticks/Hypershine Lipgloss
L-R: Stawberry, Nude Pink, Perfect Pink, Bare, Mauve, Berry Cherry

LLL Strawberry - This color is a sheered out bright red with red sparkles in it. I really dislike the taste and smell of these. They're an off dentist minty taste and smell but I really just loved the colors.

LLL Nude Pink - Nude Pink is pretty opaque actually. It's a pale pink with a tiny amount of silver shimmers in it. Hardly noticeable.

LLL Perfect Pink - Perfect Pink is also pretty opaque. It's a bright pink color. No shimmer. I don't think it'll work too well with my skin color though.

HLG Bare - This is just a ton (TON) of shimmer inside a clear gloss. It's a little bit like ELF's Fairy Gloss but it's a pale pink almost brown. I think this is just sooo pretty. I haven't really seen any reviews on it online so I bought this completely blind and I really am so happy with it. I'm usually not a shimmer fan but this and Fairy are the few exceptions.

HLG Mauve -
Mauve is a more purple version of Berry Cherry. It's a pale muted out purple berry color.

HLG Berry Cherry - I got this as a free gift. It's a pale berry color that makes my lips a MLBB (my lips but better) color. I already have one of these... Oh well. The more the merrier!

Check out my Hypershine Lipgloss Review! Here.

Natural Radiance Blushers
Top: Coy & Shy Bottom: Flushed

Coy is a really unique color. It's a color I've never owned before so I just couldn't pass it up! It's a pale pink that is almost brown. It's the most pigmented of the bunch but it's also the most powdery. These are extremely tiny as people have said but it was only a dollar and it was definitely worth it.

Flushed is a pretty generic blush. It's a dark pink with a bit of shimmer in it. The container to these were impossible to figure out at first. I effed up my nail polish pretty bad in the process. Then I learned to hold it up-side-down, push down on where the name shows with your thumb, and then pull it out using the little indent handle thing while pushing with your thumb. I wish I knew that before... -_-

Shy is a very pale pink with silver shimmer in it. It's the 2nd powdery of the bunch. There's really not much else to say but that.

Everything Else... Hehe.
L-R: Nostalgic, Golden, Teal, Black, Blush

Eyelid Primer - Golden: This primer is part of the $1 line. Dear goodness, this is such a beautiful primer. It's a super shimmery gold. It blends out really well. I didn't expect much from it but I really am in awe of the little swatch I did on my hand. If my camera didn't suck then I would give you one. This is the main reason I got this order in the first place! Not disappointed!

Mineral Eyeshadow Primer - Blush: I've heard so many good things about the famous ELF Mineral Primer and I've seen enough swatches to last me a lifetime. I was going to go buy that one and give into the hype until I saw that they added a brand new color! I researched all throughout Google but I just could NOT find a review on this! Eventually after enough use I'll make a review myself. I'm so happy I found this even though it was a last minute thing. I really can't describe the color other than it pretty much matches the color of the bottle but a little bit lighter. It has a lot of shimmer to it, just as a warning. I love the packaging because of how sleek it looks with the metal black wand handle.

Waterproof Eyeliner Pen - Black: I got one in black instead of getting one in the store so just in case I got a dry one I could easily just message ELF and they'd send me a new one. It's embarrassing when you have to go up to someone and say you want to return something that was a dollar... In my opinion at least. Fortunately mine was perfect. Very pigmented, not dry at all. I'm sure you've all heard reviews about it, so I won't even bother.

Waterproof Eyeliner Pen - Teal: This is a new color on their website and lemme just say it's a beautiful color! It edges more towards blue but dear goodness this color is fantastic. The color is very bold so I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it. I think I just bought it because I wanted it, not because I intended on using it. Hmmm.

Essential Lipstick - Nostalgic: I really just could not get a good picture of this lipstick for some reason... so that is why there isn't a picture. Yup. Anyway... This is a pretty nude color. I'm not too sure how well this will look on me because it's really light and I'm really not. It's pretty creamy but it looks like it would be drying.

And so...

That was my haul, you guys! It was a successful first order and I hope to have many more in the future. I really do absolutely love ELF. I'm a very big bargain hunter and their prices are right up my alley. Hope you enjoyed my babbling!

*I ordered on their website October 21st, they shipped on the 24th, and I recieved it in the mail by the 28th. I'm very happy with their shipping time. Processing time, meh.
