Big Lots Beauty Haul - Sephora by OPI

Hey everyone, long time no talk! If you don't follow Nouveau Cheap (she is incredible with beauty discounts/reviews/you name it), she recently updated about Big Lots selling SOPI polishes for a whopping $1.80 each! Being that they retailed for $9.50 before they were discontinued, this is a preeettttyyy good deal.

I had the luckiest Big Lots shopping day of my life. I managed to find the LAST of the Sephora by OPI Tinsel Town Set as well as the LAST It's Real 18K Gold Top Coat!

Sephora by OPI Tinsel Town Holiday Set (Retail: $50.00) Price: $12.00
Sephora by OPI It's Real 18K Gold Top Coat (Retail: $30.00) Price: $1.80
Sephora by OPI in Teal We Meet Again, Neutral Beauty, What Aura Gonna Wear?, Is She for Reel? (Retail: $9.50 each) Price: $1.80 each
Revlon Diamond Lust Eye Shadow in Night Sky (Retail: $4.99) Price: $1.20

Total Retail: $122.99
What I Paid: $25.99

Funny enough, my Big Lots is not normally the best stocked one, so having all this is just amazing. I can't imagine what the ones that ARE well stocked must be filled with! If you're interested in this, go head to your nearest Big Lots pronto!

PS: I will soon be opening a blog sale for anyone who's interested! It'll be containing a ton of nail polishes, make up brushes, etc.!

PSS: Expect an Influenster review soon!

Buffalo, NY Shopping Haul

I'm trying not to make hauls into a habit but I am just so excited to show you some of the sales going on! Especially if you are from the Buffalo area (which I'm not, I'm just visiting my dad for the week)! The stores I went to, I honestly can't remember some of them, but I can remember all the prices! Haha. I went to Target, CWPrice, Dollar Tree, Big Lots, Wet Seal, Marshalls, and 2 beauty supply stores at the Galleria Mall.

Target:
  • ELF Small Stipple Brush - $3.00 - Been looking for this for ages since I saw it at K-Mart but they were out of stock! I really didn't want to have to order from their website and it's like it was a sign from God saying, "wait, Alma, it is not time yet."
  • Sinful Colors Endless Blue - $1.99 - This polish actually just came onto my wish list recently, and now it's coming right off! This polish is so vivid and gorgeous.
CWPrice:
This is a discount clothing store that I haven't seen anywhere else besides in Buffalo. Today was the first time I went inside and I wish I did sooner!
  • Black & White Striped Bra - $2.00 - A gorgeous bra on sale for only $2!?! Such great sales.
  • Black Tassel Flats - $9.99 - All of the shoes there were average around $12.99 and as low as $7.99!
Dollar Tree:
  • Sinful Colors Cabana, Cream Pink, Paradise- $1.00 each - I found out via Nouveau Cheap that there was Sinful Colors polishes so I had to check one of them here and low and behold, there they were! The Dollar Tree back at my home town didn't have any which was a bummer.
  • Almay Nail Polish Duo - $1.00 - One of the polishes doesn't have a name and the other one is called "Stone". They're very vintage which I thought was pretty cool and they're gorgeous colors.
Wet Seal:
The Wet Seal I went to was having a clearance promotion where if you bought one item, the next clearance item was 1 cent!
  • Royal Blue Flats - $10.99 - These are gorgeous with gold studs along the front and heel and they were the last pair, so I can't say you'd be able to find them. Sorry! =[
  • Dark Blue Tank Top - $0.01 - This was the 2nd item I got for a penny, while the clearance price was $4.99.
Big Lots:
  • Sally Hansen Happy Manicures with Gem Crush 4 Pc. Mini Polish Set - $3.00 - I was so happy to find this because I love so many of the Gem Crush polishes, but I really just wasn't willing to spend the full price for the full sized bottles. I just don't wear glitter polishes enough!
Marshalls:
  • Sephora by OPI I Only Shop Vintage - $3.00 - This was on sale for $3.00 instead of $3.99. Heh, I would have bought this for the full price!
Various Beauty Supplies:
  • Zoya Angel, Crystal - $2.99 each - In one of the stores there was a gigantic basket full of Zoya polishes for $2.99 each, including Zoya Maisie and so many more. I wish I picked up more but I just have so many polishes. Ugh.
  • China Glaze Ride The Waves - $3.99 - This was in a clearance bin and I love me blue polish!
  • Color Club Cosmic Fate - $6.99 - This was the cheapest price I have been able to find for this polish! Word of advice, search around before you get over excited. I found this polish for $8.50 in 2 stores, and then was able to find this for $1.50 less!
And that is my haul! Just because you may not live in the Buffalo area doesn't mean the sales I came across aren't applicable in stores by you! Happy shopping!

Autism Awareness Day - Light It Up Blue

April 2nd is Autism Awareness Day and to show my support to those affected, while still keeping up with the beauty aspect of my beauty blog, I'll be showing you some blue manis plus what I'll be wearing on my nails for however long I can make the manicure last! I meant to post this earlier but it just kept slipping my mind for some reason. Better late than never though.

The polishes I used were Layla Hologram Effect Polish in Ocean Rush and Mercury Twilight.

Yes, I got a case of the nubbins.

For this mani I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Pacific Blue and as an accent nail I used a franken I made (I call my frankens "AM Polish") called Tysen which is the name of my puppy.

This is Barielle Falling Star, one of my favorite polishes ever because of how unique it is. This will be the polish I'll be wearing as long as possible!
Fellow beauty bloggers, can you light it up blue?

Artsy As Hell Polish Haul

A HAUL! I haven't done a haul in ages, I feel like. Which is pretty much true. I buy so much to the point where I can't even keep track. But I've finally been able to settle down for the first time in a while and take pictures and everything. Chyea!

The places I picked these polishes up at were Walgreens and a local beauty supply in Peekskill, NY that I had never been to before called Urban Beauty Supply. I was so nervous because I have a bit of anxiety when it comes to going in stores I've never been before. A little weird, I know, but oh well. Here are a few pictures that I made SUPER ARTSY, just cuz.

I was FINALLY able to find these babies around my area. I literally have gone to so many drugstores on multiple occasions to no avail, UNTIL TODAY!!! Thank you Walgreens!

Milani Texture Cream - Tainted in Red ($3.99)
Milani Texture Cream - Shady Gray ($3.99)
Milani Texture Cream - Aqua Splash ($3.99)

These and the polishes to follow I got from the beauty supply. I got one polish cheaper because the guy who rang me up was nice, kinda. You probably can't tell from the picture but I picked up 2 pastel blue polishes... I don't know why. I've been aching to get Zoya Blu but if I can find a cheaper alternative, why not! Also, blue is my boyfriend's favorite color, so I thought maybe he'd like these.

NK Nail Enamel - Pastel Light Blue ($0.99)
Kleancolor - Holo Blue ($1.99)
Kleancolor - Pastel Blue ($0.99)

This last picture is kinda crummy but it's just a haul right? But yay Ruby Kisses! I've been wanting some of this brands polishes for ages and I thought I was going to have to order online which I hate! (I'm too impatient, haha.)

Ruby Kisses - Teal Envy ($0.99)
Ruby Kisses - Yellowed Out ($0.99)
Ruby Kisses - Tropical Blend ($0.99)

Sunday Collection Spam - OPI

I know I haven't been posting a lot lately... or at all. My bad, everyone. Soooo, to start getting back in the blogging groove, I bring you a new weekly installment to my blog! Every Sunday I will show you a picture spam of a type of brand of polish or cosmetic, and if anyone would like a swatch, they're welcome to request! As time goes by and I acquire more of the brand, I'll update these posts and you can watch my collection grow along with me!

The brand I bring to you today is a nail polish brand called OPI. A very famous brand around the world, to me this is no exception. Unfortunately OPI, for me, is a luxury brand since I don't have much of a budget nowadays. Anywho, enough about me being poor (sigh), let's goooo!

Spark De Triomphe - Crown Me Already! - Save Me - Pirouette My Whistle

Swimsuit... Nailed It! - Ski Teal We Drop - Don't Mess With OPI - Not Like The Movies - Stranger Tides

Steady as She Rose - Play the Peonies - Sweet Heart - Coney Island Cotton Candy

I'm Not Really a Waitress - Brisbane Bronze - Warm & Fozzie - Pros & Bronze

DS Reserve - DS Classic - Silver Shatter - Turquoise Shatter

Milani 3D Holographic Polish Swatches - Part 2

Hello everyone! Guess who's back!? Today I have the 2nd part of the Milani 3D Holographic Polishes. Unfortunately these aren't sold in main stores like CVS anymore but you still should be able to find them online! I guess that's what happens when you go poof for like 3 months...

The polishes I'm swatching for you today is HD, Digital, and Hi-Res.

HD

One thing about this polish is even in low light/indoor settings, it still glows and is extremely holographic!

HD is a mix between a linear and scattered holo polish. It's the most concentrated holo out of the collection since it has a clear base, but it's also the most sheer. It takes a TON of layers to get this opaque but surprisingly it doesn't look thick on the nail. One of my favorite polishes of all time. I was able to use some of this to make a Zoya Storm franken!

Hi-Res

I don't usually like purple but this is gorgeous!

Hi-Res isn't a polish I'd normally go for but this one is just stunning. One of the more holographic polishes of the bunch. It contains the usual holo flecks within a purple base.

Digital

You can still see VNL even though I believe this is 3 coats.

\

Digital isn't really one of my favorites. It's very sheer and the color just isn't my thing. A muted medium pink based polish with holo flecks.

And there you have it! The 2nd and final installment of this collection! I'm so bummed that these are discontinued but I know Cherry Culture sells them so don't be dismayed! Hope you enjoyed my swatches and glad to be back!

Hiatus

It's been forever since I've posted anything; Christmas has passed, now New Years, and looking at the little date thing on my laptop at the bottom right corner, it says the 17th. Unbelievable how time has passed. Cutting to the chase, I'm going to be gone for a few months because of some personal circumstances going on right now. Thank you so much to my avid followers, you're the ones that keep me feeling important! Haha.

I hope everyone had a wonderful safe holiday season, see you all soon enough.
